Dear Parents and Guardians,
Week of Respect is from October 2, 2023 - October 6, 2023. The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (P.L.2010, c.122) requires that the week beginning with the first Monday in October of each year be designated as a “Week of Respect” in New Jersey. School districts and charter schools, in order to recognize the importance of character education, are required to observe the week by providing age-appropriate instruction focusing on preventing harassment, intimation or bullying (HIB).
To recognize this special week, Hatchery Hill will partake in school-wide activities about respect:
- Students and staff will have Spirit Days during this week.
- The whole school will read “A Little Respectful Spot” with Mrs. Rodriguez during Guidance classes and decorate their own ‘respectful spots.’
- Every morning that week, students will say announcements focused on spreading kindness and showing respect.
- Teachers will be working on respect themes in their classrooms.
- At home, you too can help spread kindness and respect. Talk to your child about what kindness looks like and sounds like at home. It’s a fun way to get involved. Thank you and please call me with any questions.
- We will have a Respect Assembly on Thursday, October 26, 2023 infusing music and respect.

Queridos padres y guardianes,
La Semana del Respeto es del 2 de octubre de 2023 al 6 de octubre de 2023. La Ley de Derechos Anti-Bullying (P.L.2010, c.122) requiere que la semana que comienza con el primer lunes de octubre de cada año se designe como “ Semana del Respeto” en Nueva Jersey. Los distritos escolares y las escuelas autónomas, para reconocer la importancia de la educación del carácter, deben observar la semana brindando instrucción apropiada para la edad enfocándose en prevenir el acoso, la intimidación o la intimidación (HIB).
Para reconocer esta semana especial, Hatchery Hill participará en actividades escolares sobre el respeto:
- Los estudiantes y el personal tendrán días de espíritu durante esta semana.
- Toda la escuela leerá "Un pequeño lugar respetuoso" con la Sra. Rodríguez durante las clases de orientación y decorará sus propios "lugares respetuosos".
- Todas las mañanas de esa semana, los estudiantes pronunciarán anuncios centrados en difundir la bondad y mostrar respeto.
- Los maestros trabajarán en temas de respeto en sus aulas.
- En casa, tú también puedes ayudar a difundir la bondad y el respeto. Hable con su hijo sobre cómo se ve y suena la bondad en casa. Es una manera divertida de involucrarse. Gracias y por favor llámame si tienes alguna pregunta.
- Tendremos una Asamblea de Respeto el jueves 26 de octubre de 2023 infundiendo música y respeto.
