Written Directions

Take a large piece of white paper and fold it in half and fold in half again. Trace your hand with three of your fingers together leaving your pinky and thumb to the sides. Cut this out while the paper is folded. You should have four hands. Color these in with beautiful tulip colors. Use green paper to cut a strip and fringe it to make your grass. Cut leaves and stems for your flowers and glue everything to a colored in background. I used Mr. Sketch markers to color my tulips and crayon for my background sky.

4-28-20 Kindergarten Art Lesson

I used colored paper but if you do not have colored paper, color a white piece with crayons.

Watch the video below to see mosaic artist Michelle Greenwood Brown making mosaic Art.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWVluZxYiYQ

Draw the first letter of your name very large on a piece of paper. If you have colored paper use it, if not color two or three pieces of paper with crayons. You will be cutting these up. Cut squares from the colored papers and collect in a pile. Using glue, arrange the squares onto your letter but make sure they follow a pattern. Like blue, green, red, blue, green, red. When you are finished use your extra scraps to cut up shapes and create a picture.

Monet

Japanese Footbridge and Water Lily Pond painting by Claude Monet

Claude Monet is one of the world’s most famous artists. He loved to paint flowers in his garden, especially the flowers that bloomed in a pond that he made like the picture above. These paintings of pond flowers, or water lilies, are his most famous works of art. Below I have given you steps on how to draw a water lily and lily pad. Watch my demonstration video below for directions. I have also included a video for you to take a tour of Monet's garden.
